To participate of such celebration,
is definitly an unforgetable experience.
It is to witness a Afro-Brazilian tradition,
where in spite of the suffering, poverty,
and sometimes even persecution,
the people cultivate their faith
and preserve the culture
brought by their ancestors.
Such faith illustrates the purity of their soul,
the generosity and the wisdom of the people
of a place called Bahia.
Bahia of all Saints.
The Bahiana, plays a fundamental roleShe is the mother of all people.
She is the counselor, the cook, the preacher
and the teacher of the culture and the traditions.
She is the one who knows the people best,
due to always being in direct contact with them.
She is Bahia's memory.
She is Bahia's pure blood.
She is love, faith, concern and wisdom.
She also is the inspiration for hundreds
of poets, fine artists, musicians and composers.
This is a humble homage to all Bahia's Bahianas.
God save the Bahianas.
Saravá!
