Rubens Paiva
WHEN - January 20, 1971.

WHERE - Doi-Codi, Military Police Headquarters,
Air Forces base (Rio de Janeiro).

WHO - Rubens Beyrodt Paiva, forty-six years old, married
expelled member of Parliament, chief of brigade Burnier
(the Air Forces base commander), an unidentified blond/
blue eyes' official, and other "interrogators."

WHAT - The version of militaries and civilians consulted
is that they spanked Paiva until he turned into a "pool of
blood." Burnier ordered to throw his body supposedly
in the sea from an airplane, or barred anonymously
in a Rio de Janeiro's Cemetery.

HOW - Punches and foot kicks.

WHY - They accused Rubens, Cecilia Viveiros and Marilena
Corona of involvement in a kidnaping with the objective
of freeing politic prisoners.

One woman weakened...

"At the 3rd Air Forces Base Rubens, Cecilia and Marilena were confronted. They stayed standing up for a long time, with the arms up, in a close room. After long hours of this punishment, one woman weakened, and was promptly helped by Rubens."
"The ex Parliament's member attitude irritated the interrogator's chief, described as a blond man with blue eyes who attacked him. When attacked, Rubens reacts with a curse, provoking the official's and other militaries (and civilians) anger, who were watching the interrogatory. They brutally spanked the Ex Parliament's member."
"You will kill him, shouted one woman."
This remark caused the blond/blue eyes' official to go totally out of control, and pulling the woman by the hair forced her to come close to Rubens already down in the floor, seriously injured."
"Here we do not torture. This is a war, shouted the official."
