WHERE - Barreiro's Police Station, Belo Horizonte
and Industrial City's Police Station, Contagem Minas Geraes.
WHO - Jorge Defensor Vieira, twenty-nine, a married,
blue collar worker retired due to work injuries;
Police chiefs' Miguel Bechara and Espedito Mascarenhas;
police's officers' Matta, Stofella, Penido, Sebastião,
Adelmo and others of Metropol, Belo Horizonte.
WHAT - The Police Officers stayed nine days lynching
Jorge, and after alleged that a car ran him
over or that he has fallen from a wall while "trying
to escape." An inquiry was open. Jorge became paralyzed
and by the mutilations he suffered he can die.
HOW - "Pau-de-Arara," drowning, electrical chocks,
spanking, anal penetration with an electrical handle
of a broom and castration.
WHY - They accused Jorge of sexual misconduct and
robbery against a fifteen-year-old student.
"With the mouth covered with a piece of cloth, Jorge stayed nine days in the "Pau de Arara." They spanked him with a piece of wood. The bones of his hips and spinal were broken."
"Somebody was beating him with a rubber baton. He could hear the names of some tyrants: seventeen police officers. They took turns, without schedule nor hurry, obstinate."
"In a little while they will castrate Jorge."
" The men are wiring up a handle of a broom. What a hell these people gonna do? The big inhumanity is taking place. The broom's handle penetrates like a bit throughout Jorge's body, the electricity running through the wires. The groans escape from the throat, the esfincter broken, the intestines open. The barbarism of the empalation.
