"After being brutally beaten,
tortured with electrical shocks,
hung upside down from his
knees and tortured, drowning,
etc., Mario Alves kept his
decision of not answering his
torturers' questions. Mario's
position of not speaking had
aggravated their hate. The
officers were upset and feeling
helpless of asking questions
to an unarmed and defenseless
man, a series of questions
that remained unanswered.
Then, the tortures inserted
a wooden baton in his anus,
which caused rupture of his
intestines followed by the
hemorrhage that caused his death."
